What All Does Leslie Jones Wants, Diversity In fashion
Tweets have the power to start controversial debates and ignite rumours, what’s the best role played by them is that they used to judge the character of the person who tweeted. Similarly is the case with the “Ghostbusters” actress Leslie Jones, whose one tweet splited the fashion industry in two halves. Her tweet expressed her agony of not finding something suitable to rock the upcoming red carpet event.
She made this tweet on Tuesday and it became viral, “It is so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for the movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything.”
The tweet made by “Saturday Night Live” cast member was picked up by
fans and media outlets as sheer insult on the face of fashion industry.
The industry of fashion stands in two clubs one in offence and other in her defence. They count it as a dissatisfactory note from a women who feels neglected and puts light on the inefficiency of the industry to serve according to the needs of her height, race, age or some combination of the three.
Those who belong to team of offence like this blogger and social media influencer who also appeared on “America’s Next Top Model” tweeted: “What an entitled actress! She got paid money for her work, please use that money like the rest of us — go shopping.”
Whereas some the Popular designer Christian Siriano decently offered Jones a dress and Jones easily accepted the offer. Thursday seemed to be a hppy day for this duo of designer and comedian, their socail media pages were flooded with pictures showing their fashion association. This post however did some good to Jones and she might have been relieved on seeing some scope for her next Red Carpet visit.
